To remove the air filter box on 2013 and earlier models/2014 and later Rogue Select models, start by removing the air inlet duct by removing the plastic fasteners at the front and freeing the rear from the clips on the box. Then, remove the battery and battery tray. Disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor and loosen the hose clamp on the duct. Remove the air filter box fasteners and lift it straight up and rotate it forward to clear the cowl panel. For 2014 and later Rogue models (except Rogue Select), remove the cowl cover and the resonator/air inlet duct assembly fasteners. Release the filter box clips and unhook the resonator air inlet duct from the locking tab on the box. Remove the air inlet duct between the box and throttle body and disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor. Lift the air filter box up and over the battery to remove it. To remove the upper resonator, loosen the clamp connecting it to the air duct and remove the resonator bolt. Squeeze the hose clamp and disconnect the hose from the resonator. Remove the resonator mounting bolt and pull it up and off of its grommet. To remove the lower resonator, remove the air inlet duct and the air duct from the top of the resonator. Remove the inner fender splash shield and the resonator fasteners, then remove the resonator through the wheel well opening.
