The condenser and the receiver-drier (on the side) are manufactured as an assembly and cannot be separated. To remove them, first have the refrigerant discharged and recycled by an air conditioning technician. Then, remove the radiator. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser and discard the O-ring seals. Cap the fittings on the condenser and lines to prevent entry of dirt or moisture. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector. Carefully tilt the condenser back and remove it from the vehicle. If the original condenser will be reinstalled, store it in a manner that will help prevent any oil spillage. If a new condenser will be installed, pour 2.5 oz (75 ml) of the appropriate refrigerant oil into it prior to installation. Install new R-134a compatible O-ring seals onto the refrigerant line fittings. Lubricate the O-rings with the appropriate refrigerant oil. Reinstall the components in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the line fitting fasteners to the torque values. Finally, have the system evacuated, recharged and leak-tested by the shop that discharged it.
