Nissan 21060-7S000 Fan-Cooling

Remove the air intake duct between the throttle body and the air filter housing. Remove the engine splash shield beneath the front of the vehicle. Disconnect the automatic transmission fluid cooler hoses. Remove the lower radiator shroud. For 2010 Armada models, drain the engine cooling system. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator. Remove the upper radiator shroud mounting bolts, then remove the shroud. For all models, loosen, but do not remove, the mounting fasteners on the fan pulley. Remove the drivebelt. Remove the fan mounting fasteners, then remove the fan and fan clutch and lower it out from the bottom. If necessary, raise the vehicle and securely support it on jackstands. On Armada models equipped with a rear auto-leveling suspension, turn the ignition key to the OFF position before raising the vehicle. On 2010 Armada models, the radiator fan is removed out the top of the engine compartment. Carefully inspect the fan blades for any damage. Replace if necessary. Inspect the fan clutch for signs of fluid leakage or roughness when rotating the assembly. Inspect the fan bracket on the engine by spinning the bearing, checking for any signs of roughness or play. Replace the fan bracket/bearing assembly if necessary. At this point, the fan may be unbolted from the clutch, if necessary. Be sure to re-install the fan blade with the "F" mark on the fan hub facing towards the front of the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the fan and clutch mounting nuts evenly and securely. For electric fan, remove the radiator grille and the front bumper. Disconnect the fan electrical connector. Remove the mounting bolt for the fan assembly, then remove assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the fan assembly fasteners securely.
