The fuel pump/fuel level sensor module is located on the right side of the fuel tank, while the sub fuel level sensor module is on the left side. To remove the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module, first relieve the fuel pressure and disconnect the battery. Then, remove the rear seat cushion and the access cover for the module. Disconnect the electrical connector and fuel supply line, and make alignment marks before turning the lock ring counterclockwise to remove it. Lift the module carefully, making sure not to bend the float arm. If equipped, disconnect the fuel tube quick-connector at the bottom of the module. To replace the fuel level sensor, squeeze the retaining tangs and slide the sensor off the module frame. Install a new O-ring seal and reconnect the fuel tube quick connector and sub fuel level sensor module harness electrical connectors, if applicable. Lower the fuel pump module into the tank, ensuring the plastic tangs face the front of the vehicle. Tighten the lock ring and reconnect the hoses and electrical connector before reinstalling the access cover and rear seat cushion. Finally, reconnect the battery and perform any necessary re-learn procedures. For the sub fuel level sensor module, follow similar steps after removing the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module. Remove the access cover on the driver's side, make alignment marks, and remove the lock ring. Lift the sub fuel level sensor module, being careful not to bend the float arm. Tie a wire or rope to the fuel tube and wiring harness, then lower the module into the tank while pulling the wire or rope until the fuel tube reaches the fuel pump/level sensor module opening on the right side of the tank. Rotate the assembly until the tabs face the front of the vehicle, and reconnect the fuel tube and electrical connector. Install the lock ring and then reinstall the fuel pump/fuel level sensor module, access covers, and rear seat cushion. Reconnect the battery and perform any necessary re-learn procedures.
