If the wear is extensive, new drums might be needed; if not resurfacing, remove surface glaze. Adjust the brake system appropriately so the drum fits and shoes don't drag. Mount wheel, adjust lug nuts, and lower vehicle. Make several stops in both directions and operate the parking brake for adjustment. Finally, ensure the brakes operate correctly before regular driving.
