To remove the radiator, start by removing the under-vehicle splash shield on 2009 and later models. Drain the cooling system and save the coolant if it's in good condition. Remove the fresh air intake duct and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. On 2011 and earlier models, disconnect and set aside the engine cooling fans, and disconnect the transmission fluid cooling hoses. Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses, then tilt the radiator rearward and lift it out of the vehicle. On 2012 and later models, remove the engine cooling fan assembly and disconnect the transmission fluid cooling hoses. Remove the radiator from underneath the engine compartment. With the radiator removed, inspect it for leaks and damage. Clean the radiator with a soft brush and water from a garden hose. Avoid damaging the radiator or condenser fins and tanks. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring the radiator mounting pads are seated properly. Reconnect the battery and perform necessary re-learn procedures. Finally, check the coolant level and add more if needed. To remove the coolant reservoir, disconnect the overflow hose from the fitting near the radiator cap. Release the reservoir retaining clip on 2011 and earlier models, or remove the coolant reservoir mounting bolt on 2012 and later models. Lift the reservoir out of the engine compartment and disconnect the lower coolant hose. Pour the coolant into a container and wash out the reservoir. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal.
