- A:To replace the coolant outlet housing and water control valve, you need to remove the air inlet/resonator duct, disconnect the electrical connectors from the PCM and TCM, and move the harness out of the way. Then, remove the battery and battery tray, disconnect the hoses from the coolant outlet, and detach the hoses from the heater pipe. Remove the heater pipe from the engine and install a new O-ring on the end of the heater pipe. Next, remove the water control valve housing and remove the water control valve, if equipped. Clean the mating surfaces of all gasket or sealant. Install a new sealing ring onto the water control valve, if applicable, and insert the valve into the housing. Finally, install the housing with a new gasket and bolts, refill the cooling system, start the engine, and check for leaks and proper thermostat/water valve operation.Posted by NissanPartsDeal Specialist
