  Q: How to remove and install the heater control unit in a Nissan Murano?

  A: Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the screws from the bottoms of both side trim panels of the center instrument panel. These side trim panels must be removed for access to the A/C switch mounting screws. Use a plastic trim tool or a screwdriver wrapped with tape to carefully pry up the trim panels and remove them. Remove the mounting screws from the A/C switch, then pull it out. Disconnect the wiring from the rear of the switch. Pull the switch rearward to release the clips, then disconnect the wiring. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.
