  Q: How do you replace a faulty blower motor and fan?

  A: If the blower motor is found to be faulty, replace the entire blower motor and fan. The blower motor unit is balanced at the factory; individual components cannot be replaced. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. For 2013 and earlier models/2014 and later Rogue Select models, remove the lower instrument panel cover and driver's side front floor duct. Remove the instrument cluster. Remove the knee bolster and the knee bolster support. Unclip the front foot duct from the evaporator case. Remove the mode door motor mounting screws and remove the mode door motor from the evaporator case. Disconnect the brake pedal from the power brake booster then remove the brake pedal assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor. Remove the blower motor mounting screw. Rotate the blower motor counterclockwise and remove it from the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures. For 2014 and later models (except for Rogue Select models), remove the glove box and housing. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor. Remove the blower motor mounting screw. Pull the locking hook back on the housing then rotate the blower motor counterclockwise and remove it from the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.
