- Q:How to remove and refit the transmission, including the clutch assembly and flywheel on 1.6L petrol 2015 Nissan Juke?Posted by Rajen M.A:To delete the transmission, primary, remove the assembly of the clutch. Avoid the flywheel from rotating by immovable the ring gear teeth by pushing it using any tool or using a strap to hold the flywheel and cylinder block in a way so as not to rotate. After this, undo and unscrew the retaining bolts and finally, the flywheel can be pulled off the extremity of the crankshaft although due to its mass, it may need some care to avoid falling off. For inspection, if the flywheel clutch mating is deeply marked, cracked or badly worn, it should be replaced and this should, therefore, be under the guidance of a Nissan dealer or an engineer reconditioning agent. The ring gear is usually worn or has some missing teeth and replacement is necessary, if such a situation has occurred, seeking the assistance of Nissan dealer or specialist for repair is recommended. For refitting, identity the locating dowels and fit the cover plate to the cylinder block. Scrub the contact area of the flywheel and the crankshaft and align the flywheel and properly install the bolts of the flywheel. Carry out the lock of the ring gear in the same way it was done during the removal and then tighten the bolts holding the ring gear to the required torque.
