- Q: How do you remove and install the instrument cluster on Nissan 240sx?A:To take out and put in the instrument cluster on the 200SX and 240SX, first unfasten the negative cable. Then remove case if any and also the steering wheel and any other covers that might be there. There are particular screws that are used to fix the cluster lid; make sure you unscrew each of them and then take off the lid. To remove the cluster of 200SX, two screws and seven pawls should be removed; for 240SX, there are three screws. Gently remove the cluster assembly from the instrument panel attaching again the speedometer cable and electrical wiring at the back part of the assembly to avoid mix-up of the wires. Be very careful not to harm the printed circuit in the process. Last of all, the installation process also occurs in the reverse manner to the removal.
