The interlock switch permits the engine onwards when the clutch pedal is not pressed while the ASCD (Automatic Speed Control Device) switch invalidates the cruise control when the same is the case. Both switches are located at the base of the clutch pedal closer to the front of the car. If the timer is released, compare the dimension with the distance between the clutch pedal and the threaded part of the ASCD switch. Pull the electrical connector off and bend the switch to the suitable position if necessary. Subsequently fully depress the pedal then, compare the clearance at the bottom between the clutch pedal bottom and the threaded portion of the interlock switch. Pull out the wiring, unscrew the locknut and set the switch to the desired position. For replacement, first, you have to remove the connection of the wiring from the switch followed by the removal of its locknut and switch. Removal is carried out in the reverse order to that of installation and the switch is set as previously mentioned.
