How to remove the lower steering column cover on Nissan Altima after disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the lower steering column trim panel. Remove the screw from the bottom of the lower steering column cover, as a single screw secures the column lower cover. Turn the steering wheel for access to the rear cover screws, then remove them; two column upper cover screws are accessed by turning the steering wheel. Unclip the covers from each other and remove them. Installation is the reverse of removal, followed by reconnecting the battery and performing the necessary re-learn procedures.
