Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel. Support the outer end of the lower
Control Arm with a floor jack. Raise the jack slightly. Remove the nut from the front end of the tension rod, then remove the washers and bushing, noting how they are positioned. Unscrew the tension rod-to-lower control arm nuts and bolts and remove the rod. When removing these tension rod-to-control arm bolts, hold the nuts on the upper side of the arm with a wrench to prevent them from turning. Slide the sleeve, bushing and washers off the rod. Check the bushings for cracking, hardness and deterioration, replacing them if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure the concave side of the washers lace the bushings. Tighten the fasteners to the torque values. Install the wheel and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to the torque.
