- Q: How do you remove and install the antenna mast and base on Nissan Murano?A:To collapse the Adranta mast just have to un-screw the mast from the top of the Antenna that is on the vehicle. Installation works in the reverse order means they start from the second end of the model and continue the same way up to the first end. Regarding the antenna base, remove and gently fold down the rear part of the headliner so as to get to the interior of the antenna base which is practically impossible for any but an experienced auto upholstery shop to do. If you have brought down the headliner, then, you have to unfasten the antenna cable from the extension cable that is found near the right top rear side of the car. Subsequently, unscrew the latter nut and tackle the Antenna base and cable to be pulled off from the roof of the car. For installation, the process is reversed, and it is advisable to tighten the base nut to 58 in-lbs because if the torque is applied excessively it may create a dent of the roof and consequently affect the quality of reception of the radio.
