Sit at the console and gently lift up the trim part of the shift lever from the interior with your fingers, using a panel pop tool or a flat screwdriver taped to remove the clips that hold the shift lever trim in place, make sure to also unhook two plastic hooks at the rear part of the shifter. Raise the trim panel, then you unplug the electrical connectors found on the lower side of the trim and then, you actually take out the trim. Take out the screw at the front left of the shift lever area, then use a trim removal tool to take out the clips beside the front left of the trim and disconnect the knobs as you take out the trim. Lift the lid at the back of the console and unbend the retainer at the top to pull it out. Unbolt the upper corners of the rear compartment and unlock and dettach the trim covers, you have to be extremely careful while concluding the console rear cover following the clips and wire connectors while doing so. Last step is to unscrew the mounting screws for the console, lift up the rear and push the console back while lifting to completely take it out of the car. Removal is the other of installation.
