How to remove and install a rear car mirror on a Nissan Pathfinder?

Remove the door trim panel. To reach the mirror bolts on Pathfinder models, unlatch and slide off the small trim piece above the bolts. When you have power mirrors, disconnect their electric wires. Take out the bolts and set the mirror aside from the door. Installation is the reverse of removal. To free the retaining spring of the inside mirror, put a small screwdriver into the back side of the mirror's mounting bracket, push it towards the back, and move it carefully out of the bracket. Once the spring is pulled back, lift the mirror straight up from its groove on the mounting bracket. Installation is the reverse of removal. Special mirror adhesive kits sold at auto shops can reinstall any frame that came loose from the windshield. Wash the glass and support properly before you put the mirror into place; follow the directions on the adhesive package and make sure the base becomes secure overnight before you attach the mirror.
