How to remove and install the parking brake cables on the Nissan Pathfinder?

Disconnect the battery cable, remove the under-dash panel, roll-pin, clip, accelerator pedal stop, kick panel, carpet, and floor pan. Raise the vehicle and support it securely. Unscrew the adjuster nut, detach the cable casing, loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, unscrew the adjusting nut, detach the cable from the lever, remove the rear brake shoes, unbolt the cable casing from the backing plate, unplug the electrical connector, remove the parking brake cable adjusting nut, remove the two cable housing nuts, make sure the parking brake is released, remove the wheel, remove the brake drum and brake shoes, disconnect the cable from the parking brake levers, unbolt the cable retainer, unbolt any cable brackets, and disengage the cables from the equalizer. Installation is the reverse of removal.
