Install a memory saver device to avoid having to reprogram several of the vehicle's systems. Disconnect the negative
Battery Cable, then the positive battery cable, from the battery. Remove the battery hold-down bracket on top of the battery. Lift out the battery. Special battery removal and installation tools are available at auto parts stores; lifting and moving the battery is much easier if you use one. Installation is the reverse of removal. Connect the positive cable first, then the negative cable and perform the necessary re-learn procedures. For the battery tray, remove the battery. Remove the fresh air inlet duct. Remove the battery tray liner. Remove the fasteners and detach the PCM from the battery tray. Also detach the TCM from the battery tray. Remove the battery tray mounting bolts and lift the tray out. Installation is the reverse of removal. Connect the positive cable first, then the negative cable.
