Special care should be taken with the 2018+ models which come with an Electric Parking Brake (EBP), you must disengage the system to access the rear brakes. To perform this process it is required to have the Nissan "CONSULT" scan tool or the equivalent. When it's necessary to replace the calipers, always overhauled, new and fact or rebuilt calipers are available on exchange basis, mainly because of leakage of the fluid. If calipers are being used, always change them in pairs. To remove the caliper, first, loosen the wheel lug nuts, safely chock the wheels that are on the other end of the vehicle and then lift it on jackstands before finally, taking off the wheel. After this, unscrew the banjo bolt with a 19mm wrench and pull the brake hose out then, discard the sealing washers, to avoid contamination, fit a small piece of rubber hose over the
Brake Line to minimize fluid loss. If the caliper is rarely if ever remove, and the removal is only done for the access to the other component, then the brake hose should not be disconnected. Following that, you need to unbolt the caliper mount and the pull the caliper off the bracket. They perform the reversal of the above, making sure to apply the recommended torque of the caliper mounting bolt and the wheel lug nuts, use new sealing washers on the brake hose-to-caliper banjo bolt. In the end, restore the brake fluid's level to the calculated amount, bleed the brake system to check for leaks from the hose connections, and road test the vehicle before putting the car back into regular use.
