Lose the lugs, jack up the car and securely brace the car on jack stands before removing the wheel. Then, the tie-rod end and the jam nut need to be unscrewed and taken out. Next, unscrew the outer rack and pinion boot clamp and with a help of pliers, indicate the position of the tie-rod end on the threaded part of the tie-rod. Remove the inner boot clamp with diagonal cutters and slide the boot off from the wire. Before fitting the new boot, the threads present on the end of the steering rod should be covered with an aluminum tape so as not to damage the small end of the new boot. Shift the new boot to the place on the stepping gear where it will fit into the groove at the steering rod and buy new clamps. After stripping the tape, you can then put the tie-rod end. It is recommended then to replace the wheel and apply lug nuts, put down the car, and tightly tighten the lug nuts until getting to the recommended torque, and then inspect if the wheel alignment is proper and then adjust it if needed.
