How do you remove and install the shift knob from the shifter on Nissan Rogue?

Move the shifter to the Neutral position, and if necessary, push the shift interlock release with a screwdriver to allow shifting by pushing down on the manual shift release using the key. Slide down the lower shift knob cover, then use a small screwdriver or similar tool to remove the spring clip at the front of the shift knob after sliding the cover down. Remove the shift knob from the shifter, and installation is the reverse of removal.
