Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the wheels. Separate the intermediate shaft from the steering gear shaft. Detach the sway bar kit links from the strut. Loosen and remove the tie-rod end nut from the knuckle, and use a balljoint separator tool to disconnect the tie-rod end from the
Steering Knuckle. Remove the torque rod and set a jack under the rear of the subframe. Remove the subframe stay bolts, take off the stay, loosen the subframe mounting bolts, and slowly lower the jack just enough to access the sway bar kit bracket bolts, ensuring not to lower the subframe too far to avoid damaging the links. Remove the sway bar kit clamps and bushings, then take out the sway bar kit. Inspect the clamp bushings and the link bushings, replacing them if they are cracked or torn, ensuring that when installing new bushings, the slit in the bushing faces the rear of the vehicle and that the clamps are installed in their original positions. Installation is the reverse of removal, tightening all suspension and steering fasteners to the specified torque values and the wheel lug nuts to the specified torque.
