Mark the positions of the blades on the windshield with tape for proper alignment during installation. If the motor has malfunctioned and the blades are not in the park position, mark the blades to their shafts after the initial steps are completed. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Pry off the wiper arm pivot caps and remove the nuts, then take off the wiper arms from the drive studs by locking the wiper arm and using leverage to wiggle it free. Remove the cowl cover and disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor. Take out the mounting bolts to remove the wiper motor and drive assembly. Pry the drive arm off the crank, remove the crank nut, and separate the crank from the shaft. Detach the motor from the drive assembly by removing the screws. Installation is the reverse of removal; when installing the wiper motor assembly, turn it ON and then OFF to place the unit in the PARK position before attaching the wiper arms. Finally, reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.
