To remove the engine, one needs to begin by hasling off the fasteners of the engine cover and then the cover. It is recommended to separate the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, and then remove the throttle body, realizing that in some cars, it can be temporarily removed, counting on hoses or electrical connectors. In the case of 1.6L engines, coolant reservoir should be removed. After that, remove the engine oil dipstick and ensure that the end of the tube is covered to avoid dirt from falling in. Disconnect blow-by hose, label and disconnect PCV hose; brake booster hose; throttle control actuator and EVAP; disconnect and clamp off hoses related to purge control solenoid and coolant. Undo the intake manifold support bracket bolts and this bracket, then the intake manifold bolts in a sequence opposite to how they were tightened. Last of all, remove the intake manifold from the cylinder head. For installation, scrape off all the old gasket material and sealants from the groove area of the manifold and cylinder head and clean with brake system cleaner. To its matching side, fit a new gasket and place the intake manifold to the cylinder head and fasten it with bolts by the application of torque until reaching the required levels and performing a re-tightening on the number one bolt. Recover the arrangement by performing the taped abilities in reverse order followed by reconnecting the battery together with the essential relearn procedures.
