- Q: How to test and replace a Nissan Xterra horn?A:Before starting electrical diagnosis, check the Fuses. To disconnect the electrical connector from the horn, remove it. Use a jumper wire, battery voltage must be connected to the terminal in order to test the horn. Substitute it if the horn is not blowing. If it does blow, the problem is either the switch, Relay or wiring between components. In order to replace the horn, detach it after unplugging the electrical connector and removing its bracket bolt. After removing its bracket bolt and unplugging its electrical connector, detach the horn. Bolt removal reverses installation.
