Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the center console. Remove the
Steering Column Covers. Remove the dashboard trim panels. Remove the instrument cluster. Remove the radio and heater/air conditioner controls. Remove the kick panels at each side. The panels simply pull out after removing the retaining screw at the bottom. Remove the left and right trim strips along the interior of each win shield post. The passenger airbag is attached to the back of the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the bolts securing the bottom of the airbag to the instrument panel reinforcement beam. The bolts are "tamper-proof" Torx type and require a special socket to remove or install. Unbolt the steering column from the reinforcement beam and the firewall. At the top of the instrument panel where it meets the windshield, pry up the defroster grilles to access the upper bolts of the instrument panel. Remove all remaining fasteners securing the instrument panel, and any electrical connectors still attached to the panel. Pull the panel back and out of the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
