    For the outer CV joint, remove the driveaxle and boot clamps, rinse away old grease, inspect the bearing surfaces, and pack the joint with CV joint grease using a wooden dowel. Install the small clamp and boot on the driveaxle, applying grease to the inside of the axle boot, and wrap the splined area with tape to prevent damage.
