Q:
How to disconnect the throttle cable and remove the throttle chamber? Posted by Customer
A:
Disconnect the throttle cable by raising the throttle body actuating valve and sliding the cable from the actuator. This is done by raising the actuator and sliding the accelerator cable end out of the retaining slot. Next, disconnect the two electrical connectors from the throttle valve switch sensor. This can be achieved by pulling the white connector apart, then pulling the TVS connector from the throttle valve switch. Proceed to disconnect the vacuum lines from each side of the throttle body. This involves disconnecting the two vacuum lines from the lower part of the body. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the coolant hoses from each side of the throttle body. Then, remove the four Allen head bolts and remove the throttle body from the intake collector. This is done by removing the four Allen head bolts retaining the body to the intake collector. Finally, reverse the removal procedures for installation.
