Nissan 21486-ED000 Motor Fan

To remove the cooling fan assembly, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, drain some coolant from the radiator. Next, remove the fresh air intake duct and coolant reservoir tank. For 2011 and earlier models, remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator and disconnect the electrical connectors from the fans. For 2012 and later models, remove the airbag wiring harness, hood lock cable, radiator cap adapter, and horn wiring harness from the upper radiator core support. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator and the electrical connectors from the fan motor. Move the fan aside and remove the upper radiator core support. Remove the bolts at the upper corners of the fan support, then pull it upward to detach it at the bottom. Finally, remove the cooling fan assembly and, if necessary, detach the fan blade assembly from the motor shaft.
