- Q:How to remove and reinstall the transmission mount to raise and support the transmission securely for maintenance or repair work? Posted by Customer
- A:Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Insert a large screwdriver or pry bar into the space between the transmission extension housing and the cross member and try to pry the transmission up slightly; it should move very little. Support the transmission with a floor jack, place a block of wood on the jack head to act as a cushion, remove the bolts and nuts attaching the mount to the cross member and transmission, raise the transmission slightly with the jack and remove the mount. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, be sure to tighten all nuts and bolts securely.Posted by NissanPartsDeal Specialist
