Correctly angled headlights help prevent drivers from being blinded while also making sure you see everything you need on the road. Most models have two adjustment screws: The steering geometry of vehicle headlights usually includes two adjusting screws - one to turn them left and right and one to move them up and down - while newer models might have only a vertical adjustment. Use a partially open space to adjust your headlights. Park the car facing a blank wall on an even surface. Place masking tape on the wall, straight up and down, line it up with the middle of the car's core, both headlights, and add another tape directly under all headlights. Park the car 25 feet from the wall, level, with enough gas for 12 miles of travel, and leave it empty. To correct the low beam light beam, position the bright spot two inches lower and two inches to the left of where the headlight lines meet with the ground and wall. To adjust high beams, place the brightest area directly below the horizontal reference point.
