Most electric side view mirrors use two motors to move the glass; one for up and down adjustments and one for left-right adjustments of the mirror. The control switch has a selector portion that sends voltage to the left or right side mirror. Turn on ignition but stop the engine, then bring down the windows while using the mirror control switch in all functions (up-down, left-right) for both side mirror types. While listening to sound produced by motors in their mirrors, do not hear their sound. If you hear the motor running but cannot see any movement from it then there could be a problem with drive mechanism inside it. Remove and disassemble all the mirrors until you identify where exactly the problem is located. Check if they operate otherwise listen to any sound coming from them, if none exists then maybe I have a blown fuse on this one. If the fuse is okay, remove the mirror control switch from its mounting without disconnecting any wires attached to it. For voltage at terminals-ignition on. One should have 12 volts. In case there is no voltage available at this switch panel first check whether there are open or shorts between fuse panel and switch. Disconnect if there is voltage across this switch as confirmed by testing it under these conditions. Continuity must be checked across this switch in all of its operating positions whereby if this does not exist replace our switch with another one that's new. Reattach this switch again after having completed doing continuity test on it so as to locate wire leading out of this into ground within which also leaving connecting jumper wires between described wire plus ground before you can determine whether or not your mirror will function normally again when still having these problems however remove that faulty earth connection traces instead until you determine what could not work more effectively anymore just like once again failed check point where wiring was probably unable support adequate current flow from battery source over to such features thereby resulting into electrical failures occurred due some reason highly unlikely. Check with ignition ON and the mirror selector switch on the appropriate side. Operate the mirror switch in all its positions. One of the leads switch-to-mirror should have battery voltage for each mirror function (except "off" neutral). In case there is no voltage in all these switch positions, check wiring between control switches at mirrors and mirrors themselves for opens and shorts. If so, remove the mirror assembly and test off vehicle with jumper wires. Replace if it fails this test.
