In order to remove the front wiper motor, as a first step, it is necessary to mark the position of the blades and the motor on the windshield with help of the adhesive tape for the correct position during the installation of the new wiper motor. If the motor has failed and the blades are not in the park position, pound the blades to their shafts after following other steps. Loosen the cable from the negative terminal on the battery then set the wiper arm in its parked position and remove the screws which holds the pivot caps, when removing the bolts, one has to make sure that he identifies the arm position with respect to the linkage. Take out the wiper arms from the drive studs; they just click in; lock the wiper arm and try to twist it. Next, uninstall the cowl cover and pull the electrical connector of the wiper motor if in the way. Continue to un-bolt the wiper motor and the drive assembly, use a screw driver to unscrew the drive arm from the crank, also unscrew the crank nut, and ultimately, disconnect the crank from the shaft. To perform the rest of the required work, you need to remove the motor from the drive assembly by unscrewing it. To install the wiper, do the following in the reverse order: Turn on the wiper motor to make sure it is working, Turn the motor off and make sure it goes to the park position before affixing the wiper arms. Last of all, reconnect the battery and the required re-learn should be made. To replace the rear wiper motor for the blade, the liftgate glass also needs to be synchronized with the blade position which is done by applying the tape on the glass, then the negative terminal of the battery needs to be disconnected, the wiper arm pivot caps need to be pulled up, and finally the nut needs to be removed. One has to unbolt the wiper arm on the drive stud and in case of dowel stuck use the dowel and apply pressure when prying the wiper arm off. Unscrew and take off the liftgate trim panel, release the connector from wiper motor, and take off the mounting bolts to come off the wiper motor. If required, it is possible to remove the pivot seal of the liftgate, then, it is inversely followed by the above mentioned steps of the removal. Apply the needed re-learn process and re-connect the battery.
