How do you remove and install a fuel pressure regulator? Posted by Customer
A:
Relieve the fuel pressure first, then disconnect the negative cable at the battery. Make sure to place the cable out of the way so it cannot accidentally come in contact with the negative terminal of the battery, as this would once again allow power into the electrical system of the vehicle. From the top of the regulator, remove the two injector assembly fuel lines. Next, disconnect the vacuum line and fuel temperature sensor electrical connector. Also, disconnect the return fuel line located under the regulator. Remove the two bolts and remove the regulator. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedures. Note: Wet the inside of the fuel lines with gasoline to facilitate hose installation.
