Make sure you have checked the clearance that exists between the side of the piston and rings before installing piston rings. Organize the assembly of pistons/rods and new ring sets to correspond with the same cylinder and pistons for end gap measurement during engine installation. Place that ring towards the bottom of a cylinder since some measurements should be taken at this location. All pistons and their rings will be subjected to this procedure again.

After installing the oil ring components, verify that both side rails turn smoothly in the groove.

To install the number one (top) ring, use a piston ring installation tool, ensuring the mark is facing up. It's crucial to avoid mixing up the top and middle rings with different cross-sections during installation. Repeat this process for all pistons and rings.
