Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then set the wheels in the straight ahead position. Remove the steering wheel and the upper and lower steering column covers. Disconnect and remove the combination switch and the spiral cable, followed by the driver's knee bolster. Detach each of the switch connectors installed on the steering column and disconnect the steering column wiring harness. For 2013 and earlier models or 2014 and later Rogue Select models, remove the upper intermediate shaft bolt and detach the intermediate shaft from the column. For 2014 and later models (except Rogue Select models), remove the lower intermediate shaft bolt and separate the shaft from the steering gear. Remove the steering column mounting fasteners and take out the steering column. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened to the specified torques. Finally, reconnect the battery and perform the necessary relearn procedures.
