Nissan 84630-ET000 Trunk Lid Lock Assembly

To gain access to the both front and rear doors firstly disconnect the power window switch and further take off the door trim panel and water-shield. Make sure the window is shut tight, then remove the door glass run channel. Secondly, locate and take out the door side grommet and the bolt for the door key cylinder trim panel if necessary after pulling out the grommet. On the key cylinder side turn the connection rod of the key cylinder off. If the vehicle is equipped with an intelligent key system, the procedures include disconnecting the door antenna and the door request switch connector together with the removal of the harness clamp. Move on to the removal the door lock cylinder and cover assembly, while tugging on the outside handle until it is in the forward position.Pull out the outside door handle and move it to the rear of the vehicle for easy removal. The front and rear gaskets should be pulled out then the door lock assembly mounting bolts. Sliding the outside handle bracket rear ward will require the removal of the assembly, and in addition of this, the detachment of the door lock assembly electrical connector if present. Lastly, cut the connection between the outside handle cable and the outside handle bracket, while installation is the exact opposite of removal.

Remove the trunk lid panel cover.
