In order to become familiar with the do's and don'ts of removing the rear wiper motor, start by opening the tailgate and removing the inner tailgate trim. Then, turn off the rear wiper arm and disconnect the wiring connector from the tailgate wiper motor. Next, undo the three screws that hold the wiper motor assembly to the tailgate and pull out the assembly. When refitting, the process should be done in reverse order, and the screws should be tightened in a diagonal pattern.

Undo the wiper linkage right-hand retaining bolt, centre retaining bolt, and left-hand retaining bolts, then remove the motor and linkage assembly.
