The cooling system can be drained from opening the drain cock at the bottom of the radiator or by removing the bottom hose at the radiator. Be careful not to damage the fins or core tubes when removing and Installing the radiator to the vehicle. NEVER OPEN THE RADIATOR CAP WHEN HOT. Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable, then drain the cooling system. Remove the undercover, if equipped, and disconnect the reservoir tank hose. Disconnect all temperature switch connectors and plug the transmission or transaxle cooling lines from the bottom of the radiator, if equipped. Remove the fan shroud and position the shroud over the fan and clear of the radiator if so equipped. Remove the condenser and radiator fan assembly from the radiator if so equipped. Disconnect the upper and lower hoses from the radiator and remove the radiator retaining bolts or the upper supports. Lift the radiator off the mounts and out of the vehicle. To install, lower the radiator onto the mounts and bolt in place. Install the lower shroud, if removed, and connect the upper and lower radiator hoses using new water hose clamps. Install the fan shroud assembly as necessary and the condenser and radiator fan assembly as necessary. Connect the transaxle or transmission cooling lines, if removed, and reconnect all electrical connectors. Connect the reservoir tank hose and fill the cooling system to the proper level. Bleed the cooling system. Connect the negative battery cable, start the engine and check for leaks.
