- Q: How do you remove and install the Coil Springs on Nissan 240sx?A:To remove and install the suspension on a 200SX with 4-Link Type Suspension, first raise the car and support it with jackstands, then support the center of the differential with a jack or suitable tool. Remove the rear wheels and the bolts securing the lower ends of the Shock Absorbers. Carefully lower the jack under the differential to remove the coil springs, noting the location of the spring seat for correct installation. For the 200SX with l,R,S Type Suspension, set a suitable spring compressor on the coil spring and jack up the rear end of the car. Compress the coil spring until it is of sufficient length to be removed, then take out the spring. When installing the spring, ensure that the upper and lower spring seat rubbers are not twisted and have not slipped off. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, with attention to specifications for proper fit.
