Remove the door trim panel, then disconnect the cylinder lock electrical connector if equipped. Remove the two nuts securing the door handle assembly to the door and pull the anti-theft shield away from the door handle. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the cylinder lock-to-latch actuating lever operating rod by pushing down on the yellow plastic rod fastener and pull the rod end from the latch actuator. Lift the handle out of the door and pry the key cylinder retaining clip up to release the cylinder lock, then pull the cylinder lock from the cylinder lock housing. Install the cylinder lock into the housing and secure it by pressing down on the key cylinder retaining clip. Insert the handle into the door, ensuring the door latch control rod slides into its actuating arm, then connect the cylinder lock-to-latch operating lever and secure it by turning the yellow plastic fastener up and snapping it to the rod. Install the anti-theft shield on the door handle, tighten the two handle retaining nuts, check the lock and door handle for proper operation, and finally, install the door trim panel.
