With the transmission removed, next is the clutch disc and pressure plate as explained above followed by the removal of the clutch disc as described above. The pilot bushing requires that a special tool should be used to remove it; this tool is commonly known as the Nissan tool, and it can be bought from wish a Nissan dealer or an auto parts store. If the above tool is not available, fill the recess behind the bushing with grease so as to force out the same from the crankshaft. You insert a rod with an equal inside diameter to that of the bushing, and then strike it with a hammer; this will force grease in to push the bushing from the recess. One should properly clean the bushing recess before fitting the new bushing. If a new bushing is required, it is to be inserted through an appropriately fit socket or tubing that should fit the recess. Last but not the least, re-fitting of the clutch assembly and the transmission assembly should be done.
