Nissan 350Z Fuel Level Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Disassemble and Reassemble the Fuel Pump/Fuel Level Sensor Module in Nissan 350Z?
    A:
This bulletin applies to all 350Z models except 2004 to 2006 G35 Sedan models and 2004 G35 Coupe models. Only the fuel level sensor can be taken apart on all other models, except these G35 models from 2004 to 2006. Start by taking off the fuel pump and fuel level sensor module. Tap the catches free and unfold the fuel level sensor from the fuel filter assembly, leaving room to unplug its connector, and then disconnect the connector and take the two pieces apart. Replacements must take place with the whole fuel level sensor unit, since the fuel level and fuel temperature sensors work together inside one housing. Change the outlet pipe O-ring whenever you take out or put in the existing fuel level sensor unit. Reverse the process of removal when putting back the parts, making sure the outlet pipe on the fuel level sensor connects with the outlet pipe on top of the fuel filter housing while you put everything back together.
