Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the center console. Pull off the front door weatherstrips from around the windshield pillars. Use a plastic trim tool or a screwdriver wrapped with tape to pry off the windshield pillar trim panels, ensuring to insert the prying tool between the steel frame and the plastic clip. Remove the steering wheel. Take off the instrument cluster bezel and then the instrument cluster. Remove the
Steering Column Covers and the steering column switches. Take out the spiral cable from the steering column. Remove the instrument panel trim panels and the glove box. Remove the small speaker grille at each end of the upper instrument panel, then take out the speakers and disconnect the electrical connectors, followed by removing the center speaker grille. Remove the mounting bolt from the passenger's airbag, disconnect the passenger airbag electrical connectors, then lift it out. Remove the instrument panel mounting screws from both the left and right sides. Disconnect the sound system wiring harness from the passenger's side of the instrument panel. With assistance, lift the instrument panel enough to access and disconnect all wiring harnesses. Remove the instrument panel through the passenger's door opening. Installation is the reverse of removal, reconnect the battery, and perform the necessary re-learn procedures.
