Before removing the components, it is recommended to relieve the fuel system pressure, and unsold the cable from the battery negative terminal. Next, the cowl cover, fender support brace, blow-by hose, and intake air ducts should be taken off. Remove the PCV hose, brake boosster hose, throttle control actuator, EVAP hose and the purge control solenoid ; then cut off and remove the coolant hoses connected at throttle body. Disconnect the fuel rail and injectors from the manifold adapter, then unbolt the intake manifold collector, the process begin with the end bolts, alternate to middle ones in the backward manner from how they were tightened. Last of all, unbolt and take off the intake manifold collector which is on the
Cylinder Head, together with the intake manifold adapter. For installation, all the old gasket material and sealant must be scraped off entirely from the manifold and cylinder head, using a scraper and mybrake system cleaner. A new gasket needs to be placed in position and the intake manifold adapter placed onto the cylinder head studs; a second new gasket that will fit on the lower intake manifold adapter will then fit onto the intake manifold collector; fasten using nuts and bolts. Compact these to the stated torque, as per tightening pattern, and re-torque bolt number one after number five has been tightened. Replace the rest of them in the sequence of their removal, connect the battery, and conduct the required re-learn processes.
