For later models, a compact high-efficiency Horn was applied that produced sharper beeping without losing the loudness factor. Both variants feature a straightforward push-button activation located on the steering wheel airbag pad. This design sends a low-voltage signal to a relay integrated into the steering wheel, activating the Horn instantly. No matter the year, Nissan configured the acoustic output to adhere to legal decibel regulations in urban and highway usage, ensuring the sound can be heard far enough without being overly harsh. Current iterations of the Armada place the unit behind the front grille. This protects it from road debris and water while allowing full projection of the Horn forward. Nissan made an effort to keep the installation simple, so any Armada owner can replace a worn unit quickly and with basic tools.
