If you need to replace the windshield wiper motor, then begin by removing the cable of the negative terminal. Third, to release the wiper arm, you should twist the cap and take off the nut situated beneath it, and then draw the retaining nut on the wiper arm and mark the position of the wiper arm on the shaft. Locate the retainer of the wiper arms to their shaft and then unlock it so that the wiper arms can be detached. Next, remove cowl cover and, finally, separate the electrical moving connector of the windshield wiper motor from the motor, as well as remove the cowl support bracket. Go further to unwind the mounting bolts and conducting the process of pulling out the wiper drive/motor assembly from the car. Loosen and take out the bolts or nuts holding the wiper motor to the drive assembly and mark the position of the motor spacer to help during reassembly. To reinstall, the steps are done in the opposite way of the removal. To access the rear wiper motor, you will need to first, unplug the cable of the negative terminal. First, it is necessary to take off the trim cap of the rear wiper arm and the retaining nut and mark the position of the wiper arm on the shaft. Subsequently, you can now take out the liftgate trim panel along with the window lock assembly and finally, unplug the electrical connection of the rear wiper motor. Bolts out of the screw holes on the liftgate on the corresponding side, then pull out the motor. Withdrawal is the opposite to the insertion and while reattaching the wiper arm/blade assembly, the arm should be placed in a position where the wiper blade sits on the stop.
