Start by loosening the lug nuts on the wheel, then raise the vehicle and fix it firmly with jackstands. Next, take off the wheel, and remove the brake disc or drum. Push out stud from hub flange or axle flange using a press tool. With a little press tool, push stud out of flange. From behind side insert new stud into hub flange or axle flange and put some flat washers and a lug nut on it. Install a spacer or washers and a lug nut on the stud then tighten to draw the stud into place. Tighten up the lug nut until seated into flange. Replace the disc and caliper or brake drum too. Install wheel and lug nuts onto bolt. Finally lower vehicle back to floor by lowering then tightening all lug nuts to torque settings.
