Before commencing the removal of the steering wheel it is recommended that the vehicle's ignition be off and the car's battery disconnected for at least ten minutes. Next, pull up the airbag unit in the center of the steering wheel, and to unlock the steering, turn the ignition key and ensure that the front wheels are parallel to the road. Loosen and pull off the steering wheel retaining nut, with some information that a new nut would be used to; screting the steerig wheel to the column. Ensure that there are corresponding markers between the steering wheel and the end of the steering column shaft, you can use a pen to put your own marks. Slide the wheel out of the column shaft as you pass the wiring connectors through as you do so. The next step is to examine the orientation of the airbag rotary connector; if displaced, it should be secured with some pieces of tape. In terms of reinstalling, it is recommended to check that front wheels are aligned, no tape remains on the rotary connector and it is placed correctly. Direction indicator switch should should be central in order not to get damaged while re-fixing them again. Tighten a new securing nut to the wheel and align the marks of all the wiring connectors apply then secure all the wiring connectors. Last yet not the least reconnect the airbag assembly to the steering wheel.
